What the game is up to

There is no date yet, so we show the other thing: what got done, and when. Newest first.

  1. Picture from the news entry: The daily egg isn’t tapped any more: it’s chased

The daily egg isn’t tapped any more: it’s chased

A roadrunner runs along the rim of a floating island, and you catch the daily egg by jumping for it. The silhouettes crossing the sky behind are motmots, the same ones that fly over the archipelago.

  2. The first mini-game, playable

It really runs: two plates, legs moving, and a desert of its own to cross. Small on purpose: we are not after a skill game, we are after a nicer way to pick up what the day gives you.

  3. The first fifteen pieces of sound

A whole batch without a single miss. The plan is twenty-four in all: one music track, eight ambiences (one per habitat type) and fifteen action sounds. Each channel is adjusted separately, because some people want the wind and not the music.

  4. Picture from the news entry: The fourteen islands, cut out and framed

The fourteen islands, cut out and framed

All fourteen are cut out on transparency now. The missing step was not the cutting but the framing: without centring them on a common canvas, the ones that arrived in a narrow canvas were drawn half as wide as the rest.

Don’t miss anything

We post it sooner and more often on social media. That is where you will hear it first when there is finally a date.
